This recreational/intermediate league is mixed gender and teams are required to have a minimum of 3 men and 3 women at all times.
FALL 2025 ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
🥎EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: This league requires teams to bring throw down bases and cones to mark the fence (for locations without a fence). Teams can choose to purchase their own equipment, or rent from SSC! Teams and Individual Players should visit our Equipment Page for more information including price and important pick up dates.

A 🆕 ERA BEGINS – ONE BIG LEAGUE, THREE NIGHTS, TWO TIERS
This season, all teams will compete in one united league, with games played across Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. As the season progresses, teams will be separated into two tiers based on standings to allow for more competitive play, with the focus still remaining on fun!
Champions League (Tier 1) – Top teams will compete in a highly competitive division and battle for the top title.
Contenders Cup (Tier 2) – Mid and developing teams will face off in their own division, with a final and bragging rights of their own.
Both tiers will have their own playoff brackets and finals.
NEW this year will be our 🏆GOLDEN BOOT MVP AWARD! Each division’s championship team will vote for a Golden Boot MVP, recognizing the most impactful player in their division. Winners earn league-wide recognition — and ultimate bragging rights.
This new format allows for new teams to join the league and existing teams to see more variety of teams. At registration, teams will indicate their least preferred night, and we'll do our best to minimize scheduling them on that night (typically 2–3 games if possible).

However, many factors including number of registrations, permit cancellations and facility changes can impact both location availability and timeslots.

🤩 EXCITING NEWS! This league will be exclusively played out of Marc Garneau High School, with ample court space, divider to keep balls in your own court, plenty of parking! This new location features proper gym flooring—so you can dive, rally, and play all-out without holding back.
🏐EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: This league requires teams to bring a Volleyball. Equipment rentals are not provided by SSC.

This Rec/Int league is mixed gender and teams can play with a maximum of 2 people of any gender on the court. The goaltender position is gender neutral.

All Sport & Social Club sports require equipment. Sometimes equipment is provided onsite, and other times you will need to bring your own equipment. For some sports, you can rent equipment from us. Click out the list below to see if rental equipment is available.
The following sports have rental equipment options (that means you can bring your own or choose to make a refundable deposit and rent the equipment from us):
Softball (set of throw-down softball bases, catcher's mask, three softballs) - $100.00 refundable deposit
How the equipment rental works? Click "individual" to see the equipment options. Then make a refundable equipment deposit using your credit card. You’ll get to borrow the equipment from us for the season*, and when you return it, we will give you a refund of your equipment deposit.
Not sure if your team needs equipment rentals? If you are an individual registrant (playing with others you have not yet met), please take the time to connect with your teammates through your Team Forum to find out if equipment is needed. Then nominate one member of your team to make the equipment deposit and pick it up at one of the sessions indicated below.
*Dodgeball, Futsal and Flag Football equipment is provided for individual teams to use for the season as part of their registration.
*We ask that players return equipment rentals at the next season's Equipment Pick-up / Drop-off Session. Equipment that has not been returned within twelve months of the rental will be considered owned. No refund will be available after this time.
